Andrea Hill MD, MBA, FAAP

Dr. Andrea Hill has been working at Monroe Pediatrics since founding it in 2002. Originally the daughter of a minister and a doctor, she grew up moving often, including living in Guatemala as a young child. She received her Bachelor degree from the University of Kentucky and graduated from Texas A&M University College of Medicine in 1999. After her pediatric residency she moved to Walton County, Georgia and opened Monroe Pediatrics, Inc. In 2012 she completed an MBA from Auburn University. She is board certified in Pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. 
Her children range in age from a college student at the University of Georgia to her latest addition, a daughter born in December 2014. She has experienced the whole range of ages in raising children and is able to understand your experiences as parents, no matter what age your children may be. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, traveling, and prays for sleep every night.

Dana Hogan MD, FAAP

Dr. Dana Hogan grew up on a Quarter Horse farm in Dexter, Ga. She graduated from Dublin High School. After High School she attended Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC. After college she attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia and completed her residency there as well. She practiced for one year on St. Simons Island but she and her career musician husband, from Augusta, Georgia missed their family so they relocated to Winder, Georgia. She currently lives in Athens and loves being in the Athens area. She believes the University brings an energy and creativity to the city and she loves having access to many amazing farm-to-table restaurants. And, of course, she and her husband enjoy all the live music.

She is happy to be joining our Loganville practice. She and Dr. Hill became friends the first year Dr. Hill moved  to Monroe and it has been their dream to practice together, since they have similar philosophies about medical care.

Harvey Gayer PhD

Dr. Harvey L. Gayer is a licensed psychologist and Director of Positive Outcomes Psychological Services, P.C., a group practice  of licensed psychologists and psychiatrists he developed in 1998 in Athens, GA after successful practice development in Valdosta, GA. 
Previously, Dr. Gayer was a member of the faculty of Valdosta State University from 1996-1998 as an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology where he also had a thriving private practice. He has published articles, and presented at local, state, and national conferences. Frequently referred forensic/court cases, Dr. Gayer has been qualified as an expert witness in several hundred hearings in Georgia and South Carolina. He also specializes in complex custody/divorce cases, and in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD, Anger Prevention, and Anxiety.
Dr. Gayer received undergraduate training at Trenton State College and his PhD at Ball State University. His training was focused on the treatment of children, adults, and their families. He sees patients at Monroe Pediatrics, in the Monroe office, on a rotating schedule. His appointments in Monroe are scheduled through his Athens Office, Positive Outcomes at (706) 546-8440.

Felissa Goldstein MD

Felissa Goldstein, M.D. is Interim Medical Director and board certified adult, adolescent, and child psychiatrist at the Marcus Autism Center, a subsidiary of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. She specializes in working with children with developmental disabilities and complex psychiatric and medical issues. Since coming to Marcus, she has established three outreach clinics throughout Georgia in Albany, Athens and Monroe (at Monroe Pediatrics). She has also established a telehealth program to treat children with developmental disabilities in rural Georgia, the first of its kind in the state. 
She received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Gaucher College in Baltimore, MD. She received her Medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio. She completed her general psychiatry residency and child psychiatry fellowship at the University of Kentucky. 
Dr. Goldstein enjoys reading, traveling with her husband, playing with her son, singing, acting, and volunteer work with children.

Joy Bishop PNP

Joy M Bishop received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Georgia College in Milledgeville GA in 1991. She then received her Masters in Child Health at Georgia State University in 1997. In February 1998 she obtained her Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She has loved helping and teaching families for over 15 years. She lives in Covington, Ga with her husband Mark and her 2 children Luke and Grace. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, shopping and traveling.

Julia Crowe ACNP, FNP

Julie is originially from Bowling Green, Kentucky. She attended University of the South for undergraduate school, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree. She then received her Master of Science in Nursing, originally as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from Vanderbilt University in 2004. In 2007, she completed a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from North Georgia College and State University. She has worked extensively in Pediatrics and Emergency Care since that time. Julie lives in Watkinsville with her husband Doug and her daughter Corinne. In her free time she enjoys gardening, reading, yoga, hiking and volunteering extensively within her community.

Melissa Smith PNP

Melissa received her bachelor of science in Nursing from Michigan State University in 1999. She worked as a pediatric emergency room nurse and neonatal intensive care nurse for ten years before obtaining her masters of science in nursing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in 2014. She lives in Bogart, GA with her husband and two children. In her free time she enjoys practicing martial arts and spending time with her family and friends.
